In a village high above Torino the SS retreating back to Germany goosestep into town and massacre the last inhabitants of the place.

The brave Spike Lee has made a film about it. The film fails on most levels though.
Who were the S.S, were they the Lions of the German army or just some petty criminals who were given the chance to massacre ,rape and pillage?
