MAIDA VALE

The leader of the British force Stuart defeated a French force under Reyner in July in 1806.Later entering Maida in Calabria he was created "Count of Maida".The battle was the beginning of firepower over infantry attack.The French losing hundreds. Later an area of London was called after the battle.
We can see the train/tube station in London called after the battle plus a map and photo view of Maida.
